Science/cooking question

in my science 4 class ive got some questions after a lab.

why do the instructions for most cooking pots recommend that you salt boiling water only after you have heated it? What could potentially happen if you didnt?

the salt dissolves way better in hot water then it does in cold. if you where to put the salt in mad cold water only a very small amount of it would dissolve.

It has to do with the molecules moving around more when they are hot as opposed to cold, thus allowing the salt to dissolve much better.

yeah, thats what i was thinking, i guess i was reading too far into the question and thinking that something dangerous or something like that could happen. thanks for the help
