So its pretty bad this year, and if you have a problem with it, dont blame the park crew, bitch at the park designer, because it was his plan. We just rake it. When those surveys come around, make sure you let 'em know. Peace!
jeez you guys opened it late...i was there over christmas break hoping i could hit golden peak...or so i thought you guys were shaping the half pipe and making snow while breck and keystone were up and running solid
yeah well the 2nd jump on the right isn't bad and neither is the quarter pipe but the up rail is absolutely the most retarted thing i have ever seen.....seriously though the rail is completely vertical......the rail park is good though i like
Hahaha what in god's name is that rail that's like flat to straight up its fucking impossible. And there's that straight up rail coming out of the qp. Creative...but pretty much impossible.
yeah i was out at vail over new years break and wasnt to impressed. but you could set up a nice lil run in the rail section. i liked the rainbow with a lil bit of a c to it
Stephen Laterra, is his name, and hes an old grumpy semi pro snowboarder. And the 'up rail' stabbed into the QP is called the space needle, and all of the crew thinks it is really dumb. Any who, vail should have all 3 pipes open now, their superpipe and 13 footer in Golden Peak, and the 13 footer in Aviator.
Also in Golden:
two 40-45 foot jumps, 35 foot jump, and the QP which leads to:
1st line: the huge rainbow rail, tiny up rail, tiny down rail, high flat bar, battle ship, steep down rail
2nd line: superdome (Crail/rainbow), 40 ft mellow down, flat dub barrel, flat up rail (the old rainbow flat rail that broke, called the snail rail), steep down rail
3rd line: 2 picnic tables, flat down rail
so far thats what we go at Golden Peak Flight School, more to come soon.
I work thursday through Sunday if anyone wants to say high, I have AR5s and Pink A frames, and will pobably be lapping the park.
PEACE!
yeah i was just at vail saturday through monday and the park was pretty sweet, the flat up rail is easy for anyone who thinks its hard its actually smooth, and the first jump in the park is good for anything, cork 5 through cork 9, rodeo, its a nice jump but if you want to hit the second jump after it you cant land backwards on the first cuz then you wont get enough speed to clear the 2nd jump, but what they need to do is put out their C boxes cuz those are tight
Can't wait to see this shit...at Beaver they have some pretty cool stuff though...roller coaster box and roller coaster s box. Huge tree rainbow jib, jumps look good.
