Who makes them
I went skiing last weekend and notice my helmet had loads of knowck on it and perhaps it's time for a new one.
saw some kids at the slope with helmets that look like a new era cap made out of plastic if that makes any sense.
does anyone know who makes them and where i should be looking in the uk for them?

If you want to protect your head, don't get one.

the bern baker.
its a good helmet for better skiers. if you slam your head alot its not the best choice but, if you do that you prolly shudnt be skiing the park. othawise its fine.

I agree I have a capix that i use for wakeboarding and sometimes skiing. They are pretty uncomfortable in winter and provide about as much protection as a pumpkin on your head. But if you insist on having one they're probably the most popular wakeboard helmet and almost every wakeboard store sells them

yeah don't get a capix helmet unless it's actually from their shred line
the baseball cap one is for skating and wakeboarding and doesn't have full padding and as warm as an actual ski helmet.

It's better than nothing but if you're going to spend money on a helmet it's better to spend money where it counts. It's a different plastic and inner foam and does not protect you anywhere near to how well a helmet made for skiing will. That's why there is helmets for wakeboarding, and helmets for skiing. The Bern helmets look pretty damn sick and protect you way more than a Capix one will, even if it is less than, say, a giro MX as some people have stated.
I advise to go for safety over looks, especially if you go read up on what happened to Asher Crank (rip) even though he was wearing a ski helmet, he did indeed suffer head trauma and die.
Please please please, safety over looks.
