yeah i use fire wire too b.c thats how ive always done it but whats so bad about usb is it just slow or is it also a quality thing?

USB 2.0 is actually theoretically faster (unless you have firewire 800). The difference is that Firewire streams the data while USB sends it in packets. Since when you upload video its essentially streaming the file from the camera firewire is preferable.

^yeah usb2 is actually theoretically better than firewire 400 (what most people know as regular firewire) but firewire is more widely used for video. ad firewire 800 is twice as fast as firewire 400. too bad my fucking macbookpro doesnt have a firewire 800 drive. thats just stupid.

tru that. firewire 800 is the way to roll. but i still prefer firewire even to usb 2.0 just cus it streams.
