the mountain is amazing, so much snow in the past little while too, so hopefully the conditions are similar when you get there. Last week the park was just a few small kickers, and the rail park set up, nothing too big.
cool, im was just in PC like 2 weeks ago and hitting their jumps got me excited for jumping again this season. Any chance the fernie park may get a revision, or get bigger soon? And ill be staying in some hostel in fernie i guess. Any tips for enjoying the night life in fernie, places to go and such. Im coming up with a crew, and ill need a bag or two. So if anyone can help me with that, that would be awesome.
ya fernie has been fantastic this year. Snows real often so who cares about the park. Busy as hell last week but today was so nice n quiet. Ghost town with untracked lines. Your gunna have a blast dude.
sweet im excited i got screwed outa the pow in PC so hopefully this will be epic. Im pretty sure raging elk has free cakes too. Its also the cheapest, and has a hot tub i guess too. should be fun.
raging elk is slightly cheaper and has the free pancakes as well but no hot tub. however you can just walk across to the same sun to us their hottub and youll be fine.
The Samesun (same-sun) in fernie is cheap. $20 a night or somthin like that...its got great people and there is a skate shop across the street with a small indoor setup
( mini ramp, ledge, bank, etc.)
Last week was really good. Snow started wednesday. There was so much, that even with the mountain beung chock full of Joey's there were pow pow stashes until 4:15 on Sunday, 5 days later.
Park is the park. Im not too sure about this park staff this year though. But Im not gonnu talk to much about that one. Robyn Siggers can munch a fat one though.
But yeah, getting a bag, should not be a problem, but some people here arr hesitant about supplying for out-of-towners.. But just meet people riding, and let em know you need some duupe.
thanks for the info, yeah i talk to some people who have been there and they said finding a bag would be rather easy. i hope the park is good/better when im there otherwise i want hella pow pow to start falling. Is fernie's park usually good? They list alot of features and jumps on their website
All you need to know about fernie is that the best place to go is lost boys pass. It's right beside the park. All you have to do is cross this rope and pass by this sign that says 'ski area boundary'. It doesn't mean shit. It's sort of patrolled back there. Once you go through the pass just go straight through and keep going. You will always find pow there, and don't worry about getting back to the hill (there's a really good trail). You can't miss the pass it's just to the skiers right of the top of the park. It's soooo dope back there.
SWEET! Now thats a some good feed back. I hope that isn't some bs. Any more good info i should know? Ill be up there with some friends in less than a week.
Don't actually go there, i'm just kidding. It's not called 'lost boys pass' for nothing. Seriously lots of people have had to get rescued there. I don't want your death on my conscience.
prob stay at samesun. I stayed at the elk, now we have a house and stuff, but my mate works at the elk still, and the samesun is way more of a party hostel than the elk. Oh and the jumps are sick, everything still being worked on tho. Come check out our shop, the Guide's Hut, its pretty sick.
Any cheap place in Fernie is good. I get free room and board at my grandparents tha live down cakato. Bit far out but what ever it is free. The guides hut is amazing,,, you guys almost coned me into some k2 PE's.
