Replying to Time for heli-coils?

I had my look p12 heel piece rip out today. After watching it rocket down the hill and almost take out a boarder I found it and it ripped out pretty cleanly. So I call a few shops, and the only one that didn't give me a price i laughed at uses plastic inserts. Are these plastic inserts going to hold up? Also have heard of using the old holes w/ epoxy w/ some steel wool in the holes, but that sounds kind of sketchy. These are my park skis and take a beating.
