any sportbike riders here? i'm thinking about buying either a honda cbr 600 or yamaha r6 600...anybody here ride or own those bikes? any suggestions? help me out guys...

I wish i had one, my mom says i will juust kill myself (I'm 17). I know a kid who rides a cbr600 and its pretty nice. Its slightly lighter than the R6. both I've heard are good bikes, I ride Honda dirt bikes, Yamaha and Honda ATV's and Yamaha jetskis and they are both very good brands imo. Suzuki's are also nice, they dominate a lot of the professional curciuts. Anything in the 600 range will be similar to other 600's.

A 600 will be way lighter than a 1000, it will have less power but it will be smaller and slightly more manuverable. or you could split the difference and go for a GSX-750.

I have a Suzuki GSX-R750 now however I started out on and R6 overall I like Suzuki bikes better but I would take my Yamaha back any day however If I were you I would go with a GSX-R600.

yeah, i was thinking a 600 cuz it'd be lighter and more maneuverable. plus, i wouldnt kill myself going illegal speeds. i dont want a heavy bike- right now i'm riding my dad's yamaha 1100 - big bike...

im 17 and i have a 2003 r6 and i love it. im gonna move up to a gixxer 750 this summer but if you have any motorcycle experience anyone can baby a 600 and not kill themselves
