Lose Weight

I come to you newschoolers.com in a time of need. I have a wrestling meet thid weekend and weigh-in's are tomorrow. I weighed myself 30 minutes ago and I am 142 and I need to get down to under 139. If you have any suggestions on how to achieve this, it would be greatly aprieacted.

Do you have to pass a hydration test? If I were you I'd go to the sauna and sweat it out maybe do alot of cardio

start running. eat small meals every 3 hours .. and if you need to do it in that about of time i mean like granola bar and a pice of fruit. its not healthy but you'll loose it. you'll be going into negative enrgys but still ging your body something to run off of .. dont stop eating that will just shock you and you wont loose anything. plus you dont have any enrgy when its time to be on the mat.

chew gum and spit into a bottle, every water bottle or 16oz is obvisously a pound. If your a real bad ass chew some tobacco, your really lose so much water wieght, i'm serious do it

exlax

go in a hot bath or hot tub if you have one

steam room preferably

you know, really ruin your body so you get to enter the fight only to get tooled due to serious dehydration

occationaly people do die, but back when horse racing was the cool thing to do, jockey's would basicaly put on a big rubber suit like a dry suit but thicker along with sweaters and run around the track a few times and then go into a sauna.

They wouldn't use a sauna, not back in the thirties. Instead they went and sat ina giant pile of horse shit. No lie. That shit locked in heat real good.

if you get really dehydrated you can loose it, i suggest go running, don't eat or drink...even though it's unhealthy

losing weight isnt hard, it just takes patience. you just have to burn more calories than you intake. What I did was just drink a buttload of water whenever you are hungry, until you feel full. see if you can get to 3 meals a day.

no, this is wrestling. drinking water does NOT work.


two of my really good friends in high school were wrestlers, and i watched them do this before every single match...

1) eat very little, and only bread, or salad
2) dont drink much...in fact, as little as possible
3) the night before the weigh in, throw on as many layers as possible, ie - ski shit and stuff like that, get on a bike/treadmill, and just go at it...
4) bring a small power snack to eat once you've weighed in, like something with peanut butter and a gatorade


im surprised you dont already know how to do this...first year wrestling?

go to bikram yoga and sweat a shitload. they set the room to 105 degrees. for an hour and a half of intensely vigorous sweaty positions. you should drop at least a lb of water weight.

plus it clears your mind and takes away so much stress. and stress increases weight gain. sooo hopefully you have a bikram yoga place near u.

i live with two wrestlers who are on the canadian wrestling team,and they are constantly cutting weight. they do it by losing water weight. so basically, drink as little fluids as possible without dehydrating yourself, and eat mostly vegetables. bring a gatorade or two for the match.

wear the trashbag suit and lots of layered clothes then go run like 4 miles and ull sweat off quite a bit... take a huge dump... then spit everything that comes naturally to ur mouth...

a standard crap weighs about 2 pounds.  You can easily lose a pound or two before the day and then just take a shit before weigh in and you're sorted.

open your window for the night, put ur fan on you. put a sweat shirt on and curl up in a ball. ull shiver all night but shivering burns calories, if u sleep for about 8 hours ull burn enough calories for about one or two pounds, maybe more. my health teacher was a wrestler and thats how he used to do it. plus, piss as much as u can

back in my wretling days id run around the pool at my school in full sweats and the warmest clothes i could find, as well as forcing shits, and making urself throw up as a last resort.

alright, im a college wrestler and i'll tell you this.. 3 lbs is nothing. first thing, sleep and dont drink water. when you wake up in the morning, give yourself 2 hours before weigh ins and check your weight, hopefully its within 1.5 lbs, and a nice hard short run should get you down there with sweats. try to find a humid environment to help you sweat, if possible
