have you seen a physical therapist / physiotherapist about a strengthening and reconditioning program. When you break ur ankle, you also do serious ligametous and less serious muscular or tendon damage. your ankle will be painful and probably unstable uness you strengthen the extracapsular muscles around the ankle to compensate for the ligamentous instability.
plus you will have scar tissue and stiffness secondary to the immobilisation (i assume it was in a cast).
your body is prettygood at healing itself, but youve gotta help it along.

hahaha well heres the thing.
I just went to the hospital and left the soft splint on it for 3 weeks until i was able to walk on it with no pain but never got a real cast because i didnt want to be confined to taht shit plus the fact that i could walk on it from the time i broke it and ski patrol only thought it was a spraing until i found out a week later it was broken its not like a serious break i was on crutches for a while but its not like shaddering shit

dood i broke my ankle playing hockey a while ago, I could skate in 3 days, but couldnt walk for about 8 weeks...
I would like, not ski for a while.
Go rehab like an insane amount. like 3-4 hours a day. no joke.
Skiing causes too much impact on your ankle bones etc.
theres lotsa skiing left this year still. dont blow a whole season and maybe the next for one weekend.

i cant see ur xray from here, but if it wasnt immobilised, ur kinda playing with fire. it takes at least 3 weeks of immobility for the fracture to form the callous from which the bone will begin to heal.
sorry to rain on your parade, but if your still getting pain on a 5 week old fracture which hasnt been properly immobilised, chances are it hasnt healed yet nd chances are if you push it too hard you may break it again.
might be worth getting another xray to see how the healing is going.
when you say it wasnt a serious fracture, what do you mean.
