pretty much agree with you.

you looking for like heavier mainstream rap like 50 Cent?? haha not quite but you know... I know some cool hip hop bands which are a bit lighter. Not sure if that's what you want.

Champion Sound by Jalib.. one of my fav albums right now.
Try Andre Nickatina!! Dead prez, Masta Ace as mentioned before.. and definately cop some J Dilla

rap is mainstream, hiphop is underground.

although some people say rap is mad aggresive, and hiphop is mellower (i dont agree)

if you want some hard-ass rap id reccomend jedi mind tricks. im not a fan of hard rap thike this, but whatever floats your boat.
