I can air out of both walls of the pipe and grab, but id like to step it up to 3s and 5s. The pipe at my hill is massive, 20 something feet and im terrified to try without first getting some tips to think about.
wher do you ski? anyways try to spin 3's below the wall first then step it up to 5's then take it out of the pipe and try to get some amplitude... try not to huck straight away wait for the tope of the pipe then spin. its basically taking off like a straight air but then spinning
Start with 3s. The main thing you want to think about is setting at the top of the wall. So many people will set the spin halfway up the wall and bad things just happen from there. If you're landing in the middle of the pipe or catching your tips on the wall that's probably why. 2nd is shin pressure. You can come into it backseat or you're gonna come out of it backseat. Another problem is coming right up to the top of the wall and poping right at the second you're not moving up or down the wall because you didn't end up getting out of the pipe. That will send you to the middle as well. Just practice and you'll get it
3s are easy, just try it, if you spin left, try it on your last hit on the right wall, it doesn't matter if you really don't get over the lip cause it feels like doing a 180, hardly any spin involved. you then progressively get more air, then once your comfortable go for the 5s.
