im hittin up killy sunday the 7th through friday the 12th. whos gonna be around? the parks not that good and the conditions kinda blow but if youre gonna be around we can say hey when we see eachother around. i
I'll be there all week except for tomorrow cuz im hittin up stowe :) ! Theres not much in the parks right now cuz of the rain, but the down rail has been uuber fun and they just set-up a flat-down box, but its really small... well see ya around!
I'm going to killington for MLK weekend, from what I can tell on the website the park is anywhere between bad and not-so-good. And I dont really paln on skiing anything else becasue its just a big hill with a little snow. What other rails or boxes do they have besides the flat down rail listed on thier website?
from killy site:
For Wednesday, our world-class grooming fleet of 21 snowcats will produce wall-to-wall corduroy on 72 trails. Plus, our NEW terrain park on Bear Trap will open Wednesday.
bear trap had a flat down flat box and a down rail right after a small hit thing w/ barrels on top. then there was a sweet gigantic oil can farther down. looks like they're gonna open a couple of jumps tomorrow or sometime soon too.
any update on the jumps? I have to take a final tommorow but am out at 10:30 and can be up there by 11:15ish. Is it worth goin up or should I just take the 15 min drive to stratton?
just not to make a new thread, how is it now? i checked their site and they say 3 big step downs are up and one really big one and some big rails and such. comments? i have the all east but have only been to my snow. is killy worth the trip (extra hour and a half each way)
they have a pretty decent variety. on bear they have two lift parks. one has a variety of medium sized rails and jumps, and then on the next trail over there's a line of 3 step downs. first is 20-25, second is 30-35, third is 35-40. then there's still that early season park up on reason with small/medium jibs, and then they have 3 big rails that you can hike at the base lodge.
