im think of going to whistler this year but i heard that there doing alot of road work and its really hard to get there. so is there any other place next to whistler thats just as good?
although the lift system is very crappy apparently, as you have to go to the bottom all the time and conditions vary greatly. Insane on powder days from what I've heard, CPR ridge and other areas are gnartastic
ya the lift system is pretty dumb at kicking horse, but the mountain itself is of the fucking chain!!!!!!!!!!!!! im goin in a month and i cant wait, when it snows its sick, and even a week or so after a big snow the conditions are still great!!!
you dont have to go to the very bottom every run but if you are doing the ridges you do...but there is also good snow in some of the areas around the stairway to heavan chair
the problem with b.c is that there is only one highway from vancover to the mountains, the sea to sky highway, and there doing work on it to get ready for the massive crowds of the 2010 olympics, so no matter where u go in b.c your going to run into the construction. I went two years ago to whistler and they were working on the highway. It didnt slow us down at all tho so I would recomend going to whistler anyway
i was up at whistler last week, and the construction wasnt bad. i dont think i saw one person actually working though. just equipment sitting around and what not.
