um. being a little more specific would help, like how much money is "cheap" for you? Basically, what's your price range. I'm guessing cheap is like $500. And if so then i'd say look into the panasonic pv gs300. If you cant go that high look into the panasonic pv gs180. The gs line is pretty good especially for the price. They're 3ccd so they'll get pretty decent colors for you and pretty decent quality as well. Definitely better than any other cameras in that price range. Manual controls arent really all that special but im guessing you're just going to point and shoot so they'll work good for you.
