To anyone who's planning on going or is generally in the know. Any word on what the setup is going to be like? How is it going to be judged? Or rather, just general info about the comp would be great.

i have to agree with u, when i was at BB yesterday, it was amazming, their parks were great for what they had to work with (the weather and all, and all man made snow) If u ask me, id have to say BB has one of the best parks on the east coast right now. This is only from what ive heard about other mountains parks on the east coast. I cant say ive been anywhere else but MC and BB this season

bro you got to be kidding me, first of all, the snow at bb doesnt compare to okemos base and amount of trails at okemo, then theres the parks, okemo is so much better than bb any day. everything there is bigger, jumps, boxes, rails, parks, bb never had a 50ft jump for example and everything there is small, bb is just this little mountian in pa that came out of no where this year and if it wasnt for the jib lab guys from creek we wouldnt even be having this argument now.

alright ive been to both ski resorts... i would have to say that its so close if not a tie this year bb is AMAZEING expecally for what they have gottn this season i havent hittn okeamo this year yet but i have a few previous years. back then it was way better then ne thing in pa. but now i donno expecally b/c i here montage/sno mtn is supposto have an awesome park with in the next few years n this year its not supposto to be that bad personally i dont beleive in sno i mean i dont even think their going to open it sucks bk unfortinatly its my home mtn but i live right across the valy from it n my house faces right at it i can see theirs no snow at all on the mtn at this time NONE! n i mean the mtn is in complete sun shine all day = thats why its always icey... sun in the day cool temps at night. well i talked to some guys at bb today when i was their n they said that their supposto be blowing ALOT in like the next few days gunning all day long. and just so you know bb's big park is supposto have some jumps to compair to ur "50ft er" at okeamo but well see how every thing ends up going best of luck to all the mtns peace out BLATTT

Yeah, BB pretty good for this year, but Okemo kills it when their park is in prime shape. The stuff at Boulder is well made, but a lot of takeoffs are weird and sometimes the boxes are installed crooked. But right now, I'm sure boulder's killing any other resorts on the coast right now. Fuck El Nino.

okemo is not better everyday..i went up there three weekends ago and okemo sucked...a couple rails scattered over the mountain and all pretty small and beat while when i got back the following day we went to big boulder, they had two parks open with tons of a variety of rails from a 40ft handrail to a 30ft jump with a nice lip to a super fun beginner park..before you go off on how dope okemo is or any other reosrt and how much one resort sucks...ride the other mountain before you can make the comparision..yes big boulder is small but as far to my knowledge of having ridden both parks okemo's this year and the previous three years, BB is killing okemo with the flow and variety

i was just up at okemo and killy tuesday-thursday, and rode boulder friday and sunday. if you honestly think okemo's park is better than boulder's right now, you're retarded. boulder has two full parks right now, both of which are pretty good. friday night everything was pretty nice, yesterday afternoon things got a little messy because of soft snow. okemo doesn't even have jumps and rails on the same trail. south has one really ncie jump, but no rails, and the center of the mountain has a few jibs on one trail but nothing spectacular. you lose.
on another note, i will be competing with KT in the shop category. who else is in?

i just got back from straatton/ okemo and BB right now at (at least for park) is 300 times better then either othe the VT resorts and the setup for that team challenge in the main park is huge. they got a jumpline that is like a 50 into 2 60s, flatdown, it hink an up rail aswell and were still finishing it up as i left last night not to mention that they have 2 other parks open, and then 2 more at jack frost, all in all JFBB has 5 parks open and some where in the neighbor hood of 40 features right now this very minute. so yes a normal midseason okemo is prob better but not right now it aint

all i have to say is WOW...big boulder setup
60ft dfd rail/boxish
into a 50ft table into two wall rides or a 30ft flat bar big gap
into the biggest jump ever in pa or a smooth flat down box
other park
40ft single barrel handrail
30ft up box with a 10-12 foot drop
40ft? a frame or a 50 ft battleship box?
thats all i have to say

off- topic........ could someone slap $200 bucks out of Okemo Thruster for me? I trusted him and Okemo sucked on Saturday...
On-Topic, The Revival Shop out of Lancaster PA won the Shop Category and PAriders won the open division. The conditions were as good or better than anyting you will find anywhere on the entire east coast. This is a fact.

Of course that's not the whole mountain. That's just their biggest park.

if your into vertical footage and trail riding, boulder not probably the place for you but if you ar into parks that is the only place to go at least so far this season. that was a picture of the big park mostly jumps, they have two more, and then JF right down the raod has two more. for park you cant find anything better on the east coast right now. (quebec-NC and anything in between)

BB is the best park in the east right now okemo thruster has NO idea what hes talking about. Yes BB is super small. YES there park is the best around hands down. I just got back from Tremblant this week and the park for the Team Comp at Boulder blew it away.
ANYONE HAVE PICS FROM THE COMP???????

what are you talking about you trusted me..i dont even know you..and besides, i thought we were cool, i sent you that grid sheet for the comps of the season, we never talked about okemo anyway, so theres no reason to pay 200 for someone to try and slap me

yea that may be right now, but when okemo has snow, their park is better and way bigger

It was a joke, silly.. we were at Wachusetts on Friday, Okemo on Saturday, Stowe on Sunday and then back to Big Boulder on Monday and tuesday. So I can speak with quite a bit of authority on who has what comparitively. I thought I might poke some fun at your expense since you were ranting and raving about how great Okemo is. No worries!!

im sure bb has a good park right now even for the lac of snow, but when okemo has snow their park is prime, everything is nice and big and just lovley

but as of the start of this thread BB had more snow and a bigger and better park. but's dont matter here we can ride a "when it gets snow" all we can do is go to where ever has it. and before these last 3 days only BB had it.

tyler stop sticking up for okemo just because its where you ski most of the time, you just have a hard time facing the fact that a park in pa is better than a park in vermont and i dont mean that as an insult i still love you

no not really eddie, i could care less, and i ski at okemo and creek equally, so i dont know what your sayin, and yea, it is hard to believe that a 300 ft hill in pa has better parks then top ranked parks in vt

believe it......... I think it is 600' or 550' doesn't matter.. come on down Okemo.. we skied 22 different resorts last season and 24 different ones the year before.
I will give you an example.. Breckenridge... such a sick place, but you know what? ask nips, it's cool to visit but he would rather ride at BB on a regular basis for numerous reasons. The really cool part in all of this is that they are no where near thier potential due to crappy weather, this hill will LIKLEY have park type features on every trail at some point.

yea i probably travel just as much, maybe more..but thats just wayyyy too far fetched..who wouldnt want to ride breck every day? Its amazing there, its like..Breck= Ginormious with tons of snow or BB- not that big, not a lot of snow, but not bad park..Im sorry, but I would take Breck over any place in the east any day.
All times are Eastern (-5)
