so whats the deal with target sponsoring simon... it doesn't seem like they have much to gain from sponsoring him (unless they have some line of ski clothing coming out that I have never herd of. so it looks like they are just loading him up with cash.
exposure of the target brand...
Its ad space, like in nascar... they put thier logo on you, and give you some cashola, and they expose themselves to a market previously not tapped by them.
neet hey?
i saw him at sunday river last weekend and im pretty sure he had taget gloves or something, it was weird. target would be such a sick sponsor, im sure you get a lot of exposure and expenses paid for.
well for one you are talking about Target right now so BECAUSE of Dumont, so that is working already. Additionally, they are targeting younger demographics in hopes that this generation associates Target with being "cool." Would you take a walmart sticker or a Target sticker and put it on your skis? ...and why? Which is cooler in your mind and why? Answer will always be Target, they are Marketing and paying money for conversations like this to exist. For you to associate Target with skiing, not becuase they have any products for our sport but because they know you are loyal to your sport and the companies that support skiing....tah da, Target.
