No, same with each subsiquent backflip, including the one where I over-rotated on a 40ft table. The other day I caught my tips (bad jump but I felt the need to flip), well I came around, caught my tips and before you know it I was sliding headfirst, NO PAIN AT ALL, skis still on! Im lucky I didnt hurt myself and it was 50 out so maybe thats why. Anyway its luck and skill mixed together I guess. I heard of one kid who broke his ribs/wrists (someone from this board or something) and others are fine. I think its a relatively safe trick if you are confident and have good air sense. If youre asking this question it makes me think that maybe you are either not qualified to try it or you are to psyched out, either of which will possibly get you into trouble (who knows, you are prolly kick ass but I dont know). Good luck, I think you will know when its right, then throw it, dont do it if youre not ready, theres always next season (sorry to sound like some bitch). For me one day I was just like, Im gonna throw a backflip, I was confident enough, did it on diving boards and I felt ready, it was just natural.
