In recent weeks, the thread titled Burton Skis has spurred much controversy over a rumor that the snowboard company burton, which has spent money actively bashing on newschool skiing, might be getting into skiing next season with a line of its own planks. What I am wondering is does anyone have concrete proof of this? I would hate to find out that this rumor is true, because of the horrendis effect it could have on smaller companies like Line, 4FRNT, and Surface.
everybody buys burton becase of shawn white. don't believe it. i get kids every day lookin at the most garbage boards in the shop i work at. and they are burton. the graphics aren't good so you can't blame that for their ignorance. they could actually learn about a good board and then go check out our nitro or even k2 boards that are way better than anything burton has
yeah i think that our "freestyle skiing" community is quite picky when it comes to skis which is a good thing. we want the best for our buck. so i think it wouldnt hurt most companies and burton would have to make some pretty damn good skis to become a major dealer
i swear if burton comes to skiing look at all the shit they do to skiers like with there adds and shit. i mean bashing skiers left and right jsut look on there website.
who fuckin cares about line and 4FRNT anyway. they make shitty skis, and their is a reason why they arent big and have to sell their crap skkis for too much money when you can get better skis for less
anyone else remember the old k2 sticker that said "if it were easy, it would be called snowboarding" guess whos making snowboards now. it has happened before, no reason it wouldnt happen again.
its for backcounrty hiking and stuff easier to get around on you retard then it clips together to make a snowboard.... i snowboard and i hate burton and everything about it if they enter skiing it ruin skiing like it did snowboarding
it actually wouldnt suprise me like i said in another thread its like a trent lib tech started making skis and snowboard outerwear companies sponsor skiiers id rather see a better company than burton sponsor skiiers, like palmer i always loved their boards
