Replying to People whose bodies destroy watches
so this year for christmas, i purchased a quite priced tag heuer mechanical watch for my boyfriend.
he was very unappreciative when he opened this gift claiming: "my body kills watches" which at first i thought was just him being a habitual liar. i interrogated him about this for a while, his dad he said, has the same problem. he said the only watches that ever worked for him were quartz and continued explaing how elite quartz is to mechanical. i explained the reason i got a mechanical watch was because they are considered by most to be more luxurious. and he's a guy who unfortunately takes pride in the fact that his things cost rediculous amounts of money. he told me, he doesn't know the "scientific" term for this condition but it's an energy in his body that kills all watches. he claimed that sticking a piece of felt on the back panel of the timepiece would solve this problem. causing me to wonder... this energy can pass through the human body, glass, and silver... but a piece of felt will stop it? i asked around and found a lot of people have this problem, some in my own family. a few people said they thought it was a magnetism thing. i've tried to find out more but have had no luck...
can anyone enlighten me? or is my boyfriend a witch that needs to be hanged?
