HANGED VS. HUNG!

despite the rumors and what you may believe, both are English words.

Hanged is the term to use specifically when "you are being hanged by the neck to death"

Hung is the proper term to be used in any other scenario.

i think that is incorrect. you said hanged by the neck so its a person being hanged by the neck in a physical sense.

if you said "the man was hanged for treason" it is different

i could be wrong tho

i disagree

you are to be hanged sounds much better then
you are about to be hung

but saddam was hanged just sounds rediculous
