sounds like you need to learn how to land, then maybe you can stop relying on accessories and also be ok to ski in more than one specific boot.
Learning to ski and land with consistent forward pressure is about 23,566,455 times more effective in preventing sore shins than buying specific equipment ever will be.
uhhh i hate to tell you guys. while i don't have bad shin bang with my krypton, i still have it. i got up and got first tracks today and just got done. thats only like 6 straight hours of skiing. and my shins are feelin it. so they are great boots...but still will give you shin bang
It's because running works out your shin muscles. Remember that shin bang is not like some bone problem or something. You don't have stress fractures, so running works out the muscles and helps them to recover. If my shins are really sore on the way down from the mountain I also will tap my feet, flexing my shin muscles...if that makes sense. Get a good burn going. This has worked well because I have Lange Comp 120's (pretty damn stiff) and at the beg. of the season I had really bad shin bang, and now I don't get it. I really just need to sell those boots though.
the only things you can really do is pretty much common sense. boot straps, clip your boots as tight as you can, and if you want to buy them, shin guards
shin guards?? like racers use? what good are those. shin pads if thats what your talkin about don't really do much. they just get in the way of the pain
Im confused I though shinbang was when your shin hurts from the pressure from the top of yur boot? But landing backseat wouldn't cause that. That's the problem I have now, it's like a bruise feeling thing on my shin.
skfhsfh i have such bad shin bang! i had shin splints last year but this is honestly so much worseeee gaahhh it hurts so much
my parents got me those booster strap things, this sounds stupid, but how do you put them on your boots?
