Anybody else shocked by NS members in real life?

Ok soo im sure this has happened to most memebers in real life, but does anybody like see or hear members in real life and shocks them a little bit. Its like we come on this site, and we see how long the people have been on this site, and how much their post count is and we think they are totally different people. Like the other day, i was listening to NS radio ( Doug's show), and he phoned up nonmensteven. ( nothing on here is to offend nonmentsteven.....you are still super awsomeguy, and i would have sexytime with you anytime) But like i felt that he was just soo young. Like i look at his post count, and i feel that he schould be older, or something like that.

I dunno. I guess im the one who is too old. It just showed me that honestly.......like these profiles on NS sometimes don't reflect the people behind them. I dunno i think im just blabing now. So if you understand anything i am saying, has this ever happened to you?

I doubt i'll ever end up meeting anyone from NS - it would be sick but it's highly unlikely that it will happen..

You definitely get images of what you would imaging certain members to be like though

ive never met anyone i didnt know already. but ive bumped into a few that i already knew from before i was on ns but didnt know them really. if that makes sense. like kids i went to highschool with and shit but wasnt friends with.

This one chick got ahold of me on NS toootally randomly and to make a long story short she gets a hold of me on aol, she was totally trashed and sent me naked pictures. hahahahah I met a few newschoolers at COC and they were all pretty chill. By the way who here skis okemo?

I go to Okemo whenever my friend invites me up to his place.. so maybe like 4 or 5 days a season.

Yeah, I could see getting an image of someone in your head and then that person being completely different from what you thought. In some ways thats good though, in a forum you can't judge someone so quickly until you've talked to them; not like in face to face meetings where you instantly form an opinion about that person based on your first meeting.

NS should make like... an NSer finder, where people post where they're going and when, and pics of their ski suit and stuff, and their home town, and then it shows like... all the people that are closest to you... How sick would it be to just randomly meet up with other people from NS because you knew they were going to be there? That would make NS so much sicker. I mean I know we have the home mountain thing but.... looking through thousands of profiles to find someone near you is not really practical. And posting threads every time you go is kind of stupid.

It's happened to me before I guess, but as far as I can remember people are either even cooler than I imagined or just as awesome as I thought. haha. Or in one case, a total idiot. But they were an exception.

if I meet someone and they turn out to be unlike I imagined, I think I'm usually pretty indifferent. I don't think anyone has surprised me too much.
and people always think I'm younger than I actually am when they meet me.. hopefully in a good way
