my friend works at the snowboard shop in town here, and the other day this dude came into the store and asked my friend "what is this?" pointing at a snowboard binding. here are some of the things he said during their conversation.
"oh, i thought they were something you put on your feet while walking around"
"you use two of them? [one on each foot?]"
thats because pollard was sent from the future to save mankind from permanent annihilation. he just happens to ski too. he was actually skiing half assedly in stereotype just so that our heads wouldn't explode immdediately after seeing it.
you are incorrect. a lip is when your TAILS GO OVER FIRST! so switch lip your tails go over the rail basically hitting it blind. so going on switch hitting a lip to the right of the rail and spinning 90 to the skiers left. that is switch lip. its super hard trust me. further more a lip 270 on is where a skier spins to the left if the rail is on the right side of the lip. making it nearly impossible to spot the rail before you come around. again putting his TAILS OVER THE RAIL FIRST!
The definition of a lipslide is when your tails go over the rail before your nose. So, what you described is not a switch lip. Its a switch railslide. True switch lips and waaay harder.
I believe God created handrails for the use of jibbing them first, then by coincidence using them to guide people down stairs. That switch into rail in Pterodactyl Blood teaser was soooo sick.
^ dynastarconcept is legit. a railslide is when your tips go over first. a lipslide is when your tails go over first. wheather or not you hit the rail switch or regular does not change these facts.
Lip going FORWARD means tail over the rail first, if your going switch, it makes sense to reverse this rule making sw lip mean nose over first doesnt it? Think about which tricks look more similar. In snow/skateboarding lip is just getting what ever comes second over the rail first.
