Replying to Home ski project. Lets see what happens.
So I got some old twins for free from a guy that had been using them on the street for rails and what not. They have a blown edge on one of them and the middle is shredded up to shit. There is also a few base shots that have never been filled as well as some edge that is just plain missing. I decided these are perfect skis for our cabin I can just leave them up there and they should work fine for powder. I pulled some bingings off some 8 year old ski's bent the brakes out. Than just eyeballed the mounts drilled and screwed them in. Should have payed more attention to that cause I ended up drilling them a little too wide so They have to be adjusted all the way in to work. but they still clamp down and release fine. This is the part I got really cheap. So I don't have any petex and I figured what the hell lets glue gun the shit out of these bastards. I filled the old drill holes with glue gun. Than filled the base shots with it. And layed a nice layer of glue over the blown edge. Waited for it to harden and cut off excess. I have a bad feeling about it though because I think the glue will stick to the snow like crazy. But hell it cost me nothin so lets see how it rides. Going up to our cabin tommorow!
