Its called "your a tool who doesnt understand that skiing is progressing from the same fucking backountry jump with a different setting every other shot in a movie, bitch"
I just dont understand how someone can watch that many rails. I DID love Cedric's crazy ass switch up thing he did without jumping off the rail, but other than that, bleh. I winced cause Berman fucked up the filming like 80% of the movie too.
Whats wrong with urban rails? I think backcountry is played just cuase there is none where I live I went to utah a few years ago and ill admit it was fucken sick but it gets tiring watching hit after hit on the ame jump with a different angle I guess there is a different taste betwen east coast and west coast films but most have a happy medium
As fucking funny as Landis' replies in here have been so far, it really was a good EC movie. I hate 100% park segments but Vanular makes them totally enjoyable in a way that I haven't seen since... er, since WICKED.
haha you're a dumbass if you're bashing east coast rats for slaying urban....you think we would hit backcountry pow if we could....the answer is yes, obviously, now stop hating kids for mkaing do with what they've got (EAST COAST REPRESENT), and progressing the sport at that
Im not saying they did badly for east coast. It makes sense, they have no snow so they only get to hit urban rails and small tables so they have to huck everything. Im just saying I dont understand the hype because east coast skiing isnt even comparable to europian skiing.
Yeah, Level 1 kinda dissapointed me this year with LSS... no flow or feel like High 5 had, I really liked that movie. The filming and music in LSS were just kinda... alright. Nothing to great in my opinion.
And yeah, lots of rails, and I had no idea the first time I was watching it which skier was hitting the feature (please, one or two segments with two peeps is cool if they look different, like diff color jackets that they always wear or something - that triple segment of rails and keystone shoot, I had no idea who was who...). It just felt like it was rushed into production with not much structure to it, or at least meaning behind the structure. Overall, its still a good movie just for the riding, just it could have been the best one this year.
And Ostness needs to make another movie. God dammit.
