the way i see it, telling someone they should stop smoking hazardous to their health is no worse than telling someone they should stop skiing because it is hazardous to their health.

you cant tell somebody to make different decisions or participate in different activities due to variances in opinion.

haha it doesn't matter what you say, kids are always gonna smoke weed. i think as long as you're not high all the time to the point you don't even have a personality anymore.. then theres really no problem and it probably should be legal.

First of weed is not a drug as far as I'm concerned...that's like saying cigarettes are drug. It doesn't make you go retarted or fuck up your life, you do that on your own with your own poor decisions. Second if you don't smoke and say it's a waste of money that's like saying skiing is a waste of money if you don't like skiing. Third who gives a fuck what other people do they aren't harming you. that cant tax it arguement for why its illegal is so false. it only became under ground and grown in homes and in secret becuase they made weed illegal. weed was made illegal by requiring a stamp to possess it but u needed the weed with u to get the stamp(a tax) but having the weed with u to get the stamp was illegal because u didnt have the stamp yet. also saying that they cant tax it which is y its illegal is retarded becuase if they made it legal every store on the corner would be selling it and who would u rather go to ur local mom and pop shop(lol) or the shady dealer on the corner(if it was legal maybe he wouldnt be there?)

"Weed" isn't inherently a bad thing. Just like guns aren't an inherently bad thing, it takes an idiot to abuse guns to start killing other people to screw up his/her life just as it takes and idiot abusing weed to screw up his/her life.

If you enjoy a toke, then enjoy a toke, if you can't handle it then step back son. Yes there are probably bad effects to your health in the long run... Let's hear it for all us old shits who are feeling the bad effects of skiing hard and whose knees don't work so good too! No-one here will argue skiing is a bad thing though.

Feel free to have an opinion, but when you feel then need to use it to put someone elses' beliefs down, it's best to keep that opinion to yourself.

We should all live our lives as we see fit and allow others to live thiers.

and saying weed doesnt harm others around you is bullshit. i dont smoke, but i dont really care if people around me do, so i let people smoke in my car or whatever other close-quarters i may be in, and i usually come out of it with a sinus infection. i dont know why, but my nose just doesnt like smoke. i dont really get super deadly sick, so i dont mind, but im just saying, second hand smoke has its affects...

and in case you missed it, yes weed is a drug.

If the only reason for weed being illegal is that its not taxed, then the government should institute a breathing tax, or a rain tax. That point is just too flimsy to stand as the causal reason behind weed.

Being a 'complete' stoner is a sad way to go through life. I cant prove that empirically its just how i feel. Getting high is good fun, but doing anything in access fosters a healthy or productive "lifestyle".

The "no worse that cigs or drinking" statment just doesnt make sense, especailly as the following statement cites weed as a 20th century cure-all. Smoking anything is bad for your lungs, period. That said we do things every day that arn't good for us...

The truth here is you like getting high and you dont like feeling disallowed to engage in a behavior you enjoy. Weed is not a glorious drug that makes everything better with no negative side effects. Its bad for your lungs and makes you lazy for a while; trivial negative side effects in the scheme of things. Weed isnt bad or good, it isnt a big deal or a small one, it simply is. Smoke it or dont, whatever who cares, it just bothers me when people who like doing a drug twist the facts to suit their position.

a lot of my friends are hardcore into smoking and stuff, and I don't really let it get to me. I don't particularly enjoy the feeling of being high. I don't know why, but I don't. One of my friends is even a huge dealer for the local four school districts. Sometimes it kills me to hear him tell me his weekend stories and shit, because he's SO smart and has all the potential in the world..but he's always baked and he sort of becomes an asshole when he's high.

All in all, I don't care if people smoke. Just don't be an asshole about it and think it makes you cool if you do.
