early winter west means it will suck in the east.

gulf of mexico and pacific ocean are a few degrees warm, jet stream is pushed slightly north, low pressure systems get stuck in eastern rockies/midwest by occluded storm fronts. isobars cant move out of northeast. idk if youve noticed but its gotten a lot colder so it should be back to normal soon. this isnt global warming. this is just shitty weather. but global warming is real and will cause the end of the world unless we do something about it.

^ some tech terms you're throwin around here. And yeah.... sure global warming exists, but everytime there is any little fluctuation in the weather people automatically freak out and assume there will never be another cold winter. It's just patterns. Next winter in New York could be the coldest you've seen in your life..... you never know. BUT, Global Warming is a dick, and we should stop it. Don't be an eco-terrorist and throw the garbage outta your vehicles... and don't use aerosal things.

hey chronicdubs, i live in toronto so we experience almost the same stuff as u. right now there's flurries and im prayin that its gonna get better from here on in. our forecast says flurries tomorrow too. global warming sucks, and i think we should all petition our mountains to be more power efficient. fuck, if a slightly slower lift means that i can get more pow days, im all for it. good luck to all with the weather, and i hope it'll get cold n super snowy from here on in.

alot of mountains already buy renewable energy credits to make up for thier use of power. obviously many of the smaller ones dont, but its quickly becoming commonplace. and its not global warming, its climate change, its getting colder in some places and warmer in others, it just is a bummer that the east coast is getting the shitty end of the stick. its also an el nino year, so you can blame it on that too.

dude... its supposed to be el nino in the WEST this year. Warm in west + westerly jetstream = warm in east.
the only reason its snowin so much in CO and CA, is because they accumulate so much snow from the pacific.

I was out at Snowbird and Alta for a week last week, then got off the plane back in NY and cried.
All times are Eastern (-5)
