Now that that is settled, the Alpine Trekker is made by BCA. It is a swivelling pivot you can click into your downhill bindings, and then attach to your boot, so you can skin up a hill.
I wonder what it would be like to run these and some touring bindings, both on tour mode at the same time. That would be, um, interesting. (It's a joke)

that's your opinion. They are still good for people (like me) who refuse to sacrifice the performance of our stiff boots and binders (the downhill) for the ease of going uphill a little better. I go up the hill to ski down, and I don't want to ski down with an AT setup.
