ive been looking at two skis this season.
first being the line prophet 90 and the other beings yours truly, the watch lifes.
im more of an all mountain type of guy, but also looking to devote time to the park this season.
i got my first pair of used twin tips last season, those being the black and white 2001 head mad trix.
i was thinking of selling those mad trix and along with my old skis from a previous life...which ill never go back to.
i was thinking of mounting the prophets in a position totally dedicated to all mountain then the watch lifes in the spot totally dedicated for park. but im thinking that this is going to be a waste of a capable ski and a waste of money. so could your watch lifes do everything on the mountain that i want to do with the prophet 90 and still perform in the park? im guessing yes, but i guess it comes down to where you have them mounted. and when i said a waste of a capable ski, meaning mounting the watch life at true center when it can perform everything i want on the mountain and in the park if i mount back say, 2 from center or where ever you guys have it. at heart, im an all mountain skier just beginning to look into the park.
i know this is a lame post and that im quite often the advocate for shutting down lame posts like this in the ski equipment forum reason being that only you can make the decision because you know yourself better than anyone else, but im stuck on this one.
thanks.

logically, i would say to myself.
you already have an all mountain ski. those being the 2001 mad trix. so no need for prophets.

i've been using the same pair of watch lifes for six months and have skied pretty much everything on them. i mounted them back from center a few centimeters so they could ride everywhere and they have been awesome for crud, powder, park, groomers, and rails.

Watch Life's are 87mm underfoot...only 3 less than the Prophet 90 (obviously) -- So I would not get one of each, that would be a waste of money...
So to simplify things I would just get a pair of Wacth Life's...

2.5 or 3 back from center and you'll be in tip top shape.
and those 2001 heads definitely don't qualify as an all mountain ski...i hope you were joking.

Oh man... Don't even suggest that unless the kid's 6'11''. You, with your extreme height are able to mount them like that and flex them super well because you can get the extra leverage. I tried that with mine and it was hell. Core center is incredible on those skis if you're in the 5'8'' to 6'4'' range.

I mounted mine 4 back because i don't ski park and they ski grand and they still butter just as well as my short, super soft elizabeths, I ski these skis all mountain and they kill it, they were alot wider under foot than i thought they would. the prophet 90s are a great ski for allmountain but they are not that great of a park ski. I you are going to ski allmountain and some park I would just rock the 181 watchlife and have the best of both worlds

why dont you get the watchlifes and something different?
like if you want some lines, get some lizzies. theyre nuts! and fun.
Or get both pairs of surface skis.
why not support the independant? youll be the talk of the town.

I think prophet 90s would be overlaping it a bit. Go with something fatter than that. Either Prophet 100s like I said earlier, Elizabeths/Bacons or maybee Scratch BCs because those can kill it anywhere. Acctually forget all of that get the live lifes
