This christmas sucked...

alls i got was clothes.....and a kinda gay orage coat in size m and i needed an xl to fit the normal way without bein baggy or anythin....and i asked for corderoy and lss...well i got higher grounds and focused....and my aunt got me ''bode miller ski racing'' for ps2 and i dont even have one

I only got one thing, a new camera. I don't care though I got 6 stocking and they were all full of candy. I never get candy. Also considering its raining in NY on christmas day I'm in a very positive mood. Thats too bad you got usefull things like clothes would you have been happier if you got a game console or some other over priced thing you'll use maybe once a week and forget about it?

You are lucky to be able to ski at all. A great deal of the world is still concerned about what they will eat for the next meal, much less what they will get for free. Treasure what you have.

its pretty sad to consider christmas good or bad based on the content of presents. I know I didn't get all that much, but it was a very pleasant christmas, both in terms of presnts, but more importantly the manner the time was spent. Definitely a year where I gave more than I received as well, and I still received plenty. Perhaps you could acknowledge their interest and effort. Things aren't so black and white when you're older. Be greatful and receptive, because it doesn't happen all that often.

MOST of you guys are the definition of American kids. Bitching about how your christmas sucked. What about kids who dont have any parents, because they died fighting a stupid war. I only got one thing for christmas but i really dont fucking care because i was thankful for my family being all together.

He didn't say it very nicely was but his point is valid. I guess the not being contempt with what christmas presents you get is a whole age thing, and you grow out of it unless you have been spoiled. For me I never got every present i wanted for christmas, in fact i never got anything above about $50 and sometimes I was dissapointed. But now looking back I thank my parents that I wasn't spoiled and now I am contempt with every gift I am given .

dude i got an xbox tre sixty so im pumped, however i did get a g-unit shirt and a rad sweater with a collared shirt to match so im just as pumped on the clothes, but christmas is about celebrating to birth of christ not presents.

yeah, terrible.
i worked from 8am-midnight christmas eve. got back home at 2am fell asleep at3am and then got up at 6:30am christmas and worked till 5:30pm. all i wanted to do was relax.
and it could be much worse. im not upset about it.

I realize that saying that we should be grateful while we have so much seems empty and hippocritical. I have done service trips before, and spent time with people who have fallen through all the cracks. I often feel guilty that I am chosen to lead a life of plenty and of enjoyment, while so many others are suffering.

The first step to rectifing the problems in our world is exposure, and then action. I definitly have not dedicated my life to the poor or less fortunate,nor am I ready to, but I feel I have done a little to better the situation of a few.

The criticism in this case seems to be motivated by jealousy, not a genuine concern for those less fortunate.
