New phone question

got a new phone for xmas, plugged it in, left it. it says fully charged, but my family says to leave it plugged in for a lot longer since this is the phones first charge. do i need to or am i good to go? it has said fully charged for a couple hours if it matters

i think it is fine to take if off the charger, i always have with new phones right away once it sas fully charged

i'm pretty sure its fine, if its fully charged its only using enough power to keep it running without using battery.

I think its fully charged but it cant hurt to play it safe and wait until the morning. I know with some things if you dont charge the battery full the first time it is bad for it.

i would leave it charged for a while because when i got my ipod i charged it for a lil then used it and the battery kept draining real fast...then i charged it for like 12 hours and it was better

just let it charge, i dont know if newer batteries still do it, but in the olden days, cell phone batteries had a memory that could screw the battery over

That was when batteries where made out of Nickel Cadmium, and would slowly lose their ability to hold a charge. Nowadays with the Lithium Ion batteries, they hardly lose a charge over time if they are well made and you don't have to charge them to full in fear of risking their future potential charge.

you have to kill the battery befor eyou charge it.
then charge it.
