I have a proposition to improve the review section. I am tired of kids who say "I haven't ridden it yet, but the topsheet is daaaaank! 10" or kids who say "These boots suck because I bought the wrong size by mistake: 1" or kids who say "I ride for this company, buy their shiiiiiit! 10." Because of reviews like these the review section is made useless. I wanted advice on what ski to buy, so I looked there, but every ski was rated a 10.
So here's my idea: moderators read the reviews as they are posted. If someone posts a useless review that looks something like "These skis are sooooo siiiiiick! 10! I can't wait to put bindings on then and try them out," the moderator deletes the review. If someone posts a useful review that looks something like this "These skis perform well in the park but are too soft for all mountain riding: 7" the review stands.

Freedom of speech is a great thing, too bad people squander it by saying stupid things.

hey man, most things that are free are pretty crappy... love, happyness, stealing.

I disagree. After reading the reviews, it doesn't seem like people only review what they loved or hated, it seems like they just give 10s or 1s despite what they actually think. There's an awful lot of threads that say something to the effect of "It skied great but something-or-other wasn't very good... 10!" Plus, a lot of people just congratulate themselves on their purchases by just rating whatever they bought a 10, despite what they actually think of it. Remember kids: "it's perfect for me" is not the same thing as "perfect."
I really think there should be a way for moderators to edit reviews that do not pass muster.

moderators have the power to delete posts, if the issue was actually "freedom of speech" then you should be mad about that too

i dont like that theres no edit button to edit your own reviews also i dont like that theres only one review on a certian product and its a crappy reivew and underneath in the comments there like 10 posts saying hey why did you this product a 2 it deserves a 10, hey you all u fags who post comments under a shitty review if you dont like the review ,review it yourself and bring the rating up
