Lookin for a 3ccd Camera

i see that everyone on this site has 3ccd i need one.  I want one with a handle that is under 800$$. whats the best site to find this shit. i checked ebay, are those thee best deals you can get? if not link me, i need some help

you should learn something about cameras before you just claim "I need a 3ccd cause everyone else has one"


so many kids think just cause it says "3ccd" or "Hi-Def" that it means there camera is profressional quality... not at all

there is high quality 1Charge Coupled Devices that have way nicer colors/quality than some cheap consumer 3ccds

hi-def cams for $800? how about that ferarri for $20,000?

if you want to go cheap, id recommend a TRV900 like sean said. the quality/colors can get pretty close to the vx's if you learn to tweak them and u can grab a handle for like 10 bills

i just got the panasonic pv gs300 for christmas which is a cheap 3ccd cam in your range. I wouldnt recommend it at all though. I read some reviews on it and they seem to make it sound a lot better than it is. They say it's strong point is it's manual features/controls, and having used the camera now i find that there is verrrry little picture control, and what there is is so dumbed down it's stupid. Plus the viewfinder sucks. There's no focus ring which sucks and the autofocus is no good, it cant ever find something to focus on and stick with it. I tried it out by keep it still and looking at a place on my wall without zooming out or moving the camera at all. It kept switching what it was focusing on every second or so. First off it's uncomfortable, secondly and most importantly; it doesnt tilt upward, i mean come on whats up with that. It's also very low quality (the viewfinder's resolution). But being a 3 chip i cant say that it doesnt get good colors. The colors are pretty nice especially the red on my brother's jacket, it's really vibrant and live, looks nice. The overall picture quality and sharpness isnt much better than my old hi8 1chipper though but it's still better. Perhaps i really havent tapped into it much today, after all i didnt film with it much on the mountain today, my sister did mostly and i just told her to point and shoot. It's a decent camera though and if you're on a budget its pretty good but you could probably find better things out there for the same price. Check ebay every now and then for the panasonic pv dv953. It was www.camcorderinfo.com's camcorder of the year for 2003 i believe. Supposedly if you tweak the image enough you can get it looking like gl2 footage, which isnt bad for something you can pick up on ebay for around $500, usually cheaper. SOOOO in conclusion look for a panasonic pv dv953.

because, they are only usefull for holding the camera low, which is good I guess if you are a skate-style filmer. But I personally always hold the camera up by my head, this way I get the most stable, responsive grip of the camera. For me, Im all about the vertical grip, like on the Arriflex 16 s/b. I like every single cosmetic aspect of that camera, and I like to shoot my digi the same way.

my buddy just bought a gl2 for 850 new online , just search around i bought a vx2100 off a kid because he needed money to pay a kid back or he was gunna get stabbed .. just look around is all im saying broseph

VX1000= very good job sound, no lcd screen
VX2000= lcd screen, video quality better than the vx1000 and sound is very good
GL1= cheap price and do nice video job
GL2=similar to the vx2100


u can get the gl1 or the vx1000 for cheap price and the gl1 too

vx1000 is supposedly one of the best daylight cams, gl1's are decent but dont compare to a vx
andvx2100 are said to be the best lowlight cameras ever and gl2s are a great camera if you kno how to use it because every setting is in menu's so its a pain in the ass to find everything unless u kno ur cam like the back of ur hand

according to the better business bureau they are not a very good seller, apparently you have to call to complete your sale and they use high pressured sales tactics to try to get you to buy more things, and in some instances they refused to send the accessories, saying that the price was so low because it just included the camera
