So I have an extra mac G4 tower....

....and I want to connect my powerbook to it so I can use it as an external hardrive. Is this possible? and what would I need to accomplish this?? My computer is getting filled up with video...
btw I already posted this in the apple heads cult, but this forum gets way more traffic..

i dont think so... maybe it's possible. just get an external hard drive, its lots easier.

it is possible but you will have t make the lap top a slave making it unusable while you are using it as a hard drive. yu would be much beter off to use an external, less cost and far less work.

This must be do-able, I have the same setup at my place but with PC's. I set up a network and backed up all my media to the tower then shared it over the network.
I don't know exactly how to do it but I am 99% sure this is possiable.

Step 1) Buy a windows PC.
Step 2) Connect each other via an Ethernet cable.
Step 3) Relaxe because your done.
