It all depends on how much you want to spend, i've seen some sick ones for only about $400, It was a sony but I don't know the name of the actual camera

get a gl2 its made my cannon and its one of the best digital cams out there the cheapest decent digital cam u can get is about 1000$

na, you can get them cheaper

In my opinion, the best camera out there is the trv 19 by sony.

It is the simpliest to use and also the best. It allows 530 lines of res, has a zeiss lens, touch screen, and 2.5 inch screen.

Compared to most canon which have 500 lines of res.

When I mean best, I mean best as in not cutting off an arm and a leg to get a digicam.

and don't go for the GL2 if your getting high end, get the VX2000.

Sony in general owns about 75 % (some really high number) of the market with digitals video cameras, they make really shitty digital camera, so they focused their attention on digital video cameras.
