50/50 Grind

me and a friend are having an argument over whether or not there is suck a thing as a 50/50 grind on skis...

would just a normal grind be called a 50/50? like grinding side ways down the rail?


this could be a life or death battle, so please tell me im right and say yes there is such a thing!!

50/50 is when your on a rail and only one ski is on, the other is dangleing down, or atleast thats how i think of them

yeah, if we're going to be stealing names might as well steal from something that makes sense for what you're doing. to do a 50/50 you need to be standing on one board sideways, sliding parallel to the hill on the rail. call it a makio or come up with a new name. it looks exactly like a makio done on skates. 50/50 just doesn't make sense, period.

50/50's just about as gay as grabbing your skis while on a box or rail.

50/50 means ski's foward, just like a board.

yea there called makios and i saw a voluerz edit from momentum this past summer where tj shiller or Corey Vanular, cant remember which was doing swtichup to makio on a dfd rail.

i think when skiiers do it, its more of a 25/25/25/25.
or maybe 50/50 iif theres only one ski on the thing.
but its kinda gay anyways. i think a 5-0 would be cool, like a one footed tip press.

use your other ski to lock on, and stay more forward. but when it comes down to it, its all about the sw ski slides
