What order do you have to do shit in to get itunes to recognize it, so that i can upload to it.
I already own one, but i just got the shuffle for x mas for skiing. I reinstalled the driver, my computer recognizes it, i just dont know what order to do it in to get itunes to. (i have the new itunes)
By order i mean, open i tunes -> plug in ipod -> turn ipod on
etc....
help please.

what order do you plug everything in.
do you plug your shuffle in (turned on or off) before or after you open itunes .. etc...
like walk me through it. pretend you just sit down at your computer, and you have your ipod in your pocket, give me a step by step to how you end up putting your songs on it

u dont need to turn it on. itunes will automatically turn it on when plugged in. sit down->plug in->open itunes->wait for it to recognize the shuffle->update/load songs...DONE.

well u plug it into the usb post, turned off. so put in ur new ipod, itunes should open up. once it does see if it reads the shuffle, if not...then idk, but it should, then make a playlist. put all the songs u want then click import. try it then pm me if u still are haveing trouble.

worrrrrrrd thanks luc / other guy. i had itunes open then connected it. i restarted the comp, plugged it in, opened i tunes, and shes good to go. thanks.

can anyone help with this:
itunes store opens up and shit, but when i go to redeem my card, it will go to where you enter in the code, but then after i enter it and click redeem it takes a couple minutes then says the network connection timed out. wtf? it also happens when i try to go other places in the store, but not all.
anyone know why?

yeah dude just plug it in and itunes should pop up after your computer recognizes the new usb device, thats what i just did with my new video and it worked fine.

plug yur ipod in with or without itunes on and it should open itunes or just pop up in itunes. i dont even think it needs to be turned on

i just plug mine in and iTunes opens automatically.
but mine is a full size. so it updates everything automatically, i'm not sure about the shuffle.

similar question. My sister has a mini and i just got a nano for christmas. I want to just use her songs/ library for now but cant get it to work. Is there anything special I have to do where its a new one. Or can we just plug it in and go like you would with hers?

in itunes under ipod->music, you can say sync ipod. And then it will automatically update the ipod with whatever playlist you choose.
Also, my brother had a mini on this comp, and i just got a nano. I didnt open itunes or anything i just plugged it in when i got it and waited for a few mins for itunes but it didnt open, so i did it myself and then it had the 'new device' screen where i name the ipod. so order i guess i did:
Plug in ipod -> wait -> open itunes

my ipod also won't show up when i try to upload songs, and it won't charge or turn on sometimes also, they are peices of shit.
Can i send it back?
