im a 17 y/o with a car ocasionaly and my parents are wanting a job. i want one that pays pretty good and is fun. my friend averaged like $15per/hour working as a waitor but i dunno if im cut out for that. hit me up with some reccomendations for a first job.
working at food places SUCKS. i worked at a bagel shop and hated it. after the school year is done im gonna try and find a job lifeguarding (i did the training) or maybe i'll try to find a job in a retail store.
I worked in a supermarket. but I didn't work up front bagging stuff, I worked in the food court. basically, I got to make sandwiches, fried chicken, salads, stir frys, and pizzas. It wasn't ever that bad. I liked cooking food on the grill and stuff. Doing the dishes sucked sometimes though. I'm taking the winter off to go ski. find a job that will let you take time OFF!
i work at a commercial hardware supplier. pretty good job, pays well, and i pretty much set my own hours. (we have a calender on a white board on one wall, and i just write my hours a week ahead of time on there).
well in the winter when i am at school i dont work but in the summer i work on the grounds crew at a golf course so i work mornings and alot of nights and do that part time for the last 8 seasons(next will be 9) and then i also work for the county and do road maintence.
Getting back on subject; I'm a cook... at a resturant. Pretty sick cause I'm learning how to cook, get lots of free food, and can ski everyday, if I want to.
i worked at a summer camp all summer, and got a decent amount of money for that.
i plan on taking notes for money at college sometime this year, it pays pretty well for something that you have to do anyway. and maybe tutoring kids. i don't know, i need a job pretty badly.
