word to that. I went to ski market, and the guy sized my foot to be a 28.5, asked what kind of skiier I was, and after telling him park/freestyle, he grabed a 1080 boot in my size. I tried it on, and for the 10 mins it was on my foot, it was great. So I go to killington about a month ago to go skiing, and hey, what do you know. My boots kill my feet, and I couldn't even stand to go skiing. After taking a couple runs and havin to take off my boots even more, I just decided to snowboard the rest of the day (luckily I brought my stuff).
So the boots clearly didn't fit, and I go into a local shop that's actualy ranked really high for it's boot fitting to see if they can stretch my boot. Turns out I have a high instep, and it wouldn't be possible to stretch them out because they need to do it to the top. So I come in a week later to get new boots, and they probly spent 15 mins taking measurements and asking questions. They then brought out 3 boots that would fit my foot best, and I tried each one on for 20 mins, wiht them making sur eit's a correct fit. I got the best fitting boot, they heat molded the liner, and they stretched out the plastic for an even better fit.
Moral of the story. Poorly fitted boots suck, so go to a local shop that does a good job fitting you. If I went and tried the boot on before I bought it, and it still didn't fit correctly, theres no way you could buy off the internet
