Final Mammoth
One winner from each tour stop in North America will meet up with the winners of the Japan, Switzerland, Norwegian, Swedish and FranceJibAcademies in Mammoth, California! The dates for the final are May 7th through May 12th, 2007. All athletes at the final will get to ski and hang out with the likes of CR Johnson, Kaya Turski, Peter Olenick, Mark Abma, Charles Gagnier, Mike Douglas, Jen Hudak and Sammy Carlson! Pro filmers and photographers will be on site to capture all the action.
Did we mention that the Masters course will be kept open exclusively for the JibAcademy athletes?
The final is not about competition. It’s about having a once in a lifetime opportunity to hang out and learn from the best freestyle athletes in the world. It doesn’t get any better than this!

What is Jib Academy?!?
The Salomon Jib Academy in North America is coming to you this winter! The North American Academy is a 6 stop tour with the Final in Mammoth. More tour stops may be added so make sure you keep checking back. Every event in North America is FREE and entry will be capped at 100 athletes per event. For North America, you need to be between the ages of 10 and 16 to enter. Not only is every event free to participate in, one athlete from each event automatically goes to the Final in Mammoth! There will also be great prizes for 2nd and 3rd place including sweet new Salmon gear, ipods and more. At every stop there will be 2 Salomon International Team athletes to ski with you all day!
Format will be Slopestyle and it’s rider judged! Teams of 10 athletes will be paired up with a local Salomon athlete or coach. Teams ski together all morning while Pro athletes hang with each group for part of the day. In the afternoon everyone will vote for the 1 kid in their group that had the most skills and best attitude. The top 10 kids who are selected will go head to head for a final jam session. Again, riders will vote for the top three winners! The winner is going to spend a week in Mammoth with the whole International Team, all expenses paid!
