the whole thread is directed towards the thread creator, why would you need to quote them. There are times when I would agree but its not really nessary

It would help to keep threads on topic, they move so fast that often I read the first thread, get disgusted cause it migrated into domething else and close it.

Yeah but sometimes the thread will go off into something else and then if you say something directed at the thread creator it will be completely off topic.
