Okay it's the beginning of the new season and................................... I need to rant...
I guess Ian is still the guy in charge of promotions, websites and such.... uhhhhhhhhhhhh, If I can be very direct along with a strong dose of haterade, then I am going to vent about something that I am actually embarrased to have people directed to.
http://www.bigboulderpark.com/ I am going to say this because I want to know anyones thoughts who is brave enough to post.
WTF BOULDER!!!???????? I talked nice to Ian last year and made suggestions and yeah, he was like oh Appalachian Terrain park, I don't really care for that site and can do better.
http://www.appterrainpark.com/index.php So I watched last year... The current site is about as good as the related myspace pages as it was last year. I don't care about the note that says the new site is coming. I understand that they don't want new features copied. But come on...
I guess I should just accept that a place who has had an epic park will not have any information/media related porportionatly to it. piss poor and grade schoolish come to mind with even the first flyer that doesn't say where Mikes and Matts is. It's funny actually the coincidence that while I am stoked that Boulder is the only mountain that I am aware that is sponsoring a pre-season rail jam that M&M doesn't even have a website either.
Everyone realize that this is my personal hang up, cause I am proud of what they physically did on with thier slopes last season and just cause I am embarrassed to give the URL as reference, that shouldn't matter to anyone. Should it. Now when this gets back to Ian and he gets all pissed at me for posting crap like this or goes on about how busy he is or about how he doesn't believe in the internet then so be it! If I am wrong and the website isn't his responsibility then I apologize.
My rant is over.
IN the interest of a proactive approach. What is the problem why don't we have a website of this quality? Why do we not have something that we can be proud of?
