Anybody else do this?

Whenever i see other skiiers doing spins they always rotate counterclockwise. even on rails i hardly ever see anybody go clockwise. Anybody else just feel more comfortable goin clockwise?

i don't know if it makes a difference, but i'm right handed and spin counter, hit rails right foot forward, but wakeboard/skateboard regular (left foot forward).

counter is "natural" for most people. Right side spins are harder for most. This is most common for right handed people because we drive ourselves left with our right arm and shoulder.

ya i spin left and left foot forward for wakeboarding, but this year i wanna work on right spins forsure. it like starting from scratch agian which sucks.

I snowboard mostly but im right handed and on skis i spin counter clockwise and grind with my left foot forward. I think its becuase thats the way i do stuff on my snowboard mostly.

Yes almost everybody. The only person i know who is the opposite is my brother and thats only on rails. After lots of practice i can most of my tricks unatural.

spin regular foreward, spin right switch.
right foot foreward on rails, can only do switch left 270s onto rails. wierd hey?

kinda wierd but it can be explained. You probly spin right swich because thats what shoulder you were used to looking over when u ski switch. You can only do switch lefts 270s on because that leaves you grinding natural.

I spin right, spin onto rails right, rail right foot forward, am right handed. and also skatboard, and wake board left foot forward.

Lol I skate regular, and spin both ways, rail left foot forward. And I know someone who skates goofy and snowboards regular... reeeally weird.

it's weird I spin left when skiing unless under a 3 then i can right side hah, but skating or when im pickin up on girls with my sweet razor skills i always spin to the right

its just muscle memory if you spin the other way enough it will feel as natural as the other way

yeah i donno spinning is all about feel i guess..i spin counter, but grind with my left foot forward, and when i wakeboard i spin clockwise. I guess it started with soaps i would grind up curbs left foot forward...or maybe before that when i first started skating since im regular i grind with my left on the front of the board...hm weird

i try to keep it even. and i spin eather way with smaller spins, but after 360 its all ways counter clock wise.

what would the best combination be?

i know this is kinda off topic but when your spinning clockwise which ski do you put under ur other ski when you mute? im think it would be my right ski under my left if im spinning clockwise but i just want to amek sure im right

depends if you want to do a mute or reverse/leading mute
if you spin left, left ski over right grabbing right handed is normal, reverse would be left over right grabbing right handed

ya I do the same. My friend skateboards and surfs regular but he feels so uncomfortable spinning on the rails right side that he grinds goofy, or right foot forward.
