if you want a buttery soft ski for your size, get the 185 ARV. The invader isnt enough ski for you. the arvs are super soft, softer in the tip than the invaders, but the extra length will be better for you.
you could easily rock the big troubles in a 186 as a park ski. you need some length dude, your a big guy.
i love mine...so light and fun...defiantely a step in the right direction in quality compared to last years...and all skis get banged up if u push it in the park...i have some chips already but they are holdin up fine
so did most everyone...such a great deal! To bad the Anthems didn't come out... My friend went into a shop a few days ago and just asked for the cheapest park skis they could give him. Ended up walking out the door with Invaders for so cheap.
dude dont listen to this! im 155lbs and the arvs are really soft and buttery for me, which means that you'll probly break them. If you could see them from the side you would agree, they are really light because the ski is very thin. Scratch BCs are a very similar ski but theyre a bit stiffer and more heavy duty.
waaaaaaat
ive heard the exact opposite of what everyonne is saying
i heard tehy were the shittiest put together ski ever and they break waaaay to easy too and the fact that they were lines...
wow, i called this shit last year. lines always had such good skis, and because of the invader last year they lost all of there rep, hopefully they will be one of the top companys again.
I disagre^ my friend had the chronics last year and the topsheet started peeling off and shit keep in mind it was his FIRST year skiing...
so he sent them in and they sent him 07 invaders 4 weeks later lol
I ride hard and have had a pair of Mike Nicks and am currently riding 1260. Both have been bombproof and I have put them through everything skis shouldn't go through. My friend has chronics and they have held solid.
they are sick skis.. my friend has them and I stole them from him for a few runs... they have awesome flex, but chip easily, but who cares, they're fun to ride on
I have last years chronics, i take them everywhere... Even to some urban stuff. only prob i got with them is some core shots, but that was from a tree jib i did. they are a really solid ski
what about the prophet 80s or 90s
would they be decent for my size.
i really want a ski other then armadas i have the
old black and green armadas at 176
now i have last years ar5 in 170
a want something in the 171-185 range in length
and preferably want to stay away from dynastar.
i just skied my invader for the first time today.. theres no park so it was all just groomers and soft conditions, actually did alright for being center mounted and everything the only thing is when u butter if you want to "activate" the butter zones haha you gotta get past the stiff part of the ski it seems like and i SUCK at buttering, but i guess ill get better, great ski
i skied mine today also and, overall its a pretty good ski but the topsheet chips like a MOFO!!!i already got a few good chucnks out of it buyt owell, as long as the topsheet doesent come off
