its an up-slope storm meaning the foothills and underlying areas are gonna get it in the ass. But west of the divide won't likely see as much. We can hope they're wrong though.
70 got closed down east of denver.. which means 70 up to the mountains is still good to go.. if you're looking for the most snow from this storm winterpark would be your best bet, they got 21" .. but as of right now (7:21 am) berthoud pass is closed still.. im just waiting for the minute its open and im flying up there
if anyone is flying out of DIA, get there EARLY. i just flew out of there last night and the security line started at the baggage claim area, and it took about 1.5-2 hours to get through. i would say get there at least 3 hours before your scheduled departure time unless things have changed.
yah i didnt hear of anyone not being able to get to vail.. the most any resort got was 24" at winterpark.. and that decreased down to about 6-12" at breck/keystone.. i have a hard time imagining people couldn't get through at vail on 70 W..
^^^ not even there really. berthoud and 6 were closed.. but the main highways were mainly closed north south and east of denver since it was a plains blizzard. fucking crazy tho.
yeah my flight was scheduled fro like 6 on fri 22, it was cnacelled the night before. The earliest we could get out was te 27th. I had a 34 hour bus ride back home. Fuck denver.
yeah I got back at 12:30 Christmas morning. When did you end up getting back? And shit dude, if I had known you were still in CO you I would have definitely hit you up to go skiing.
