You have a point that the people who just want a high post count would look at more movies, but then you would get the people typing in one word responces in each picture or video just to get their post count up high, its a lot easyer to say nice 100 times then it is to type out 100 decent posts. My two cents

as stupid as caring about post count is, you'd get a lot more feedback on pics and videos in the days when it counted, which was nice
