I ride the lizzies and love them more then life. They will be fine on the east coast. Heres my review on them.......
Ski: 2005/2006 Line Elizabeth (Eric Pollard Pro Ski)
Length: 172
Specs: 139/110/137
Mounted at: 1 inch from center, or about
Binding: Rossi Scratch
Skier: 5'9", 135 lbs.
Previous Skis: Pow Airs, 03/04 Armadas, Line Invader 178
Flex: Where i mounted them, which wasnt where line recomened, they are fairly soft, but thats coming from a person whose only had noodles for skis his whole life. They are Flexy but they dont chattter and they maintain at all speeds.
Groomers: Wow, dont let the fattyness scare you ive never had more fun turning, this ski is so easy to turn on, i can get on edge and make a hardcore sharp turn like non other. Im a person who skis everything switch, so this is my dream ski.
Powder: EPIC, pollard is a mastermind. These things are so much fun in powder, i can pop in and out, i bounce.
Tight Trees: When i first got these i was very scared of taking them into the trees. But today we dropped into a heavy batch of trees i could turn and move so fast. I was shocked at how easy these things are to move. I can turn almost 90 degrees still at fast trees to miss a tree.
Bumps: Im going to be honest, i suck at moguls, i was brought up just skiing the whole mountain. But as stated above these things are easy to move, but honestly why waste you time on moguls when you have this ski?
High Speeds: No chatter exists. I love skiing switch, so one run we went on a freshly grommed run and i straight lined it switch, and was going as fast as all my other friends going forward and ive never been more comfortable. Yet i have more fun skiing switch going from one side of the run getting on edge and just doing huge fakie turns.
Park: When i bought these skis, i said that i was done with park and rails. I bought these skis for days of being laid back and doing slow comfortable spins. When i do 3s its hard not to go steezy. Ive never been more comfortable doing corks spins. These skis are def heavier then previous spins, so you do have to pop a little harder. Its not that big of a deal though.
Durability: 03/04 Armadas thrashed after 2 days because of ski to ski contact. Invaders thrashed after 1 run of ski to ski contact. The material line puts in their (quality) skis is the toughest ive seen. No gashes in the bases and no chips in the topsheet.
Overall: My personal Dream Ski, if your looking for a ski that is just as laid back as you are then this is your ski. DONT BE AFRAID to think that this ski is for only Backcountry skiing, its great of all mtn. If riding around the mtn crusing at high or slow speeds doing big carves and lofty spins then look no further.
Hope this review has been helpful, sorry if i was confusing.
