I have only been skiing for about a month, but I can do boxes, jumps and stuff like that. The poles I have now are Axis XX powder (something like that, it was $15 bucks new). Its now bent after my 3rd time skiing, and I dont know which poles to get cuz I am still a noob. Help anyone? Also whats the differences btw the curvey and straight poles? Thanks
The curvey poles are for racers. Unless you ski moguls or race the type of pole you have really isn't important in the least. I have some flexible carbon fiber red and black poles that used to be rentals. Basically get flexible poles and you won't have to worry about them getting bent and staying that way.
I am a freestyle skier and i use triple d's i dont no but there around $120 second hand i got them from a snow shop in taulpo they are the best ever!!!!
or just get cheap poles or steal rental poles. if they bend they arent too hard to bend back into shape. my poles look pretty wavy but theyve held up and are still functional. poles only go bad once they snap on you.
yea i like having really bendy poles becuase that way they dont hurt was much to fall on and you can bend them back quite a bit before they snap. just keep bending them back and keep gettin the cheapest softest poles you can find.
go take some at thye lost and found fool. Ive broken 2 pairs of "flexible" poles. my sister's old ones and my mom's old ones. I wouldnt buy some if I were you
i guess its just me but ive never broken a pair of poles...i dont know why but i never land on them for some reason...i have a pair of joysticks and there fine but if you tend to bend poles get rentals or carbon fiber...
i would go to a ski resort at night and pick up the broken or lost ones, the steez factor is low but it won't kill you when they break. my experiance with poles is never get allumium ones they will bend the first fall. get carbon ones if you really want to spend the money, salomon ct1 are really niceand the backets will never fall of. but your a noob so you dont need really nice poles. do what you want i would go with the free one till you get better. but if you have the money why not?
Find the cheapest poles you can get your hands on, and paint them if you want to. No one should care about what poles you have so its all good. I wrap mine in duct tape to add strength.
Just gank some rental poles. They are usually pretty good and best of all free. I use rental poles then give them back at the end of the season and they dont care. I break every other pole I buy
yea i just bought a pair of aces, for real cheap. cant use them till xmas tho. but my poles right now are fucking bending everytime i fall. just get cheap poles end of story.
