hey i have a problem here that i hope you guys can give me some advice on. I recently ordered a pair of brand new 04'05 salomon 1080s off of some one on this forum (not going to say name so as to not ruin his rep). I ordered them almost three weeks ago and still have not received them. The guy i bought it off told me it was going by air and it would take about 4-5 days since it was crossing the border. He then told me he would send me the shipping information right after he sent them, which was about 3 days after i made the transaction. I have yet to receive the shipping information or any word form the seller. I have sent messages to his NS account and his email acccount several times wihtout any response whatsoever. Im really getting worried here, I spent $285 on these skis and dont have money left to buy another pair. What actions do you all suggest i take ? thanks
i would say after that amount of time its fine to drop the sellers name so that anyone else who may have dealt with them might be able to help. unfortunately NS is not a secure place to buy and sell goods but it is based more on a rep and trust foundation. it is possible that youve been scammed but if you purchased something from a seller who has a reputation for being honest and legit then there might just be some sort of mix up. also what method of payment did you use? if you paid paypal you might be able to file something with them and possibly get your money back or if you sent a check or money order you may still be able to cancel it. if you used a money transfer such as western union, odds are youve been scammed and there isnt much you can do.
Don't worry about his reputation, he's the one that ruined it. Feel free to put him on the bad seller list and make it very clear that he did not hold up his end of the bargain.
what they said, tell us his name so that people who may know him can help you out. I'm guessin you know his actual name, so use that to look up his phone number and give him a ring.
