1.25 ghz, superdrive, and cd drive, 80 gig hd, 768mb ram, osx 10.3.9 (panther). im guessing $450, high end $600, low end $350.
im going to sell it on ebay, unless I get an offer on here that sounds good. mostly, i just want to see what its worth through making this thread. it has a lot of software on it, not much legal (if I sell it on here, ill leave it on, but if i sell it on ebay, ill whipe it clean.)
it has:
photoshop CS
Final cut 4.5
games
other crap...

those arnt worth too much anymore. very very slow processor outdated motherboard, virtually no graphics card option (finding a good AGP or PCI card thats mac compatible is close to impossible)
and your looking for almost as much money as a Mac Mini?
hope you sell it (hint look for people who dont know jack about computers and impress them with the big pretty apple on the side

i'd say around $450....i definately think that seems reasonable. i'm not too sure how this even compares to a mac mini, but he seems to know what he's talking about.

yeah 450 seems pretty reasonable. You might be able to find a die hard powerpc user on ebay that'll pay more though.

wholly shit yeah you can expect that type of money. thats crazy how expensive they still are for what they are. PCs with twice those specs from back then sell for half as much

yea, pretty crazy. I havent looked at the mac mini recently, but last time I did, it was about the same as a mac mini in terms of spect, except another optical drive and more ram. plus, while yes it may be hard to find a mac compatable graphics card for it, you can, where as unless im mistakin, on a mac mini, you cant change that...
in any case, thanks for the repilies. ill put this thing up on ebay soon.

current Graphics cards are all PCI-express back when the G4 was around that spec didnt exist yet so the graphics card slot is either agp or PCI and those cards arnt made anymore.
the built in card in the mac mini is more powerful than any card compatible with those old specs
